Gran Turismo PC Port: Gran Turismo Sport (RyGT)

Sony has never released a Gran Turismo game on PC, but one unofficial port does work: RyGT, a native Windows port of Gran Turismo Sport (2017, PlayStation 4). Its developer, mlgprorektm8, published the first build on 13 October 2026, and DSOGaming and Wccftech covered it on 16 October. There is no Gran Turismo 7 PC port, official or unofficial. RyGT ships no game files: you need a dump of your own PS4 copy, so this page has no download or play link.

What it is

According to the README, RyGT is not an emulator. A converter turns GT Sport’s PS4 executable into a Windows program whose code runs directly on the processor. Replacement libraries stand in for the PS4 system, and graphics go through shadGT, a Vulkan renderer derived from the shadPS4 emulator. RyGT is a fork of Ryty, a general tool for porting PS4 and PS5 executables by aarvsn.

Reported extras include shader precompilation on the splash screen (to cut stutter), AMD FSR 3.1 frame generation with some ghosting because the game has no motion vectors, and, in the latest build, an offline livery editor.

Current status

Status on 2026-10-17: working, in progress. We chose “Working” because a real project exists and its README and press coverage report that races play. It covers GT Sport only.

New builds appeared almost daily between 13 and 16 October 2026. The developer is working on a multithreaded renderer, according to DSOGaming.

Other Gran Turismo games

• Gran Turismo 7: no PC port of any kind. In 2022 Kazunori Yamauchi told GTPlanet he was considering a PC version (reported by VGC); we found no announcement since. Wccftech speculates a GT7 port of the PS4 version could follow, but that is not confirmed.
• Older games: older Gran Turismo titles for PlayStation and PS2 can be run in console emulators, but that is emulation, not a PC port, and we do not cover it here.

What you need

• Your own copy of Gran Turismo Sport for PS4 (CUSA03220 with update 1.69), dumped from your own console, plus system files from that console. We do not explain how to get them.
• Windows (tested by the developer on Windows 11) and a graphics card with Vulkan support.

Who made it

The repository belongs to mlgprorektm8, who is named as the developer by DSOGaming. The README credits Ryty (aarvsn), AnyPS5 (boykopovar), shadPS4 and Nenkai’s Gran Turismo tools.

Is it safe and legal?

RyGT is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment or Polyphony Digital. Its code is GPL-2.0 and it distributes no game data, firmware or keys. Get it only from GitHub, and avoid sites promising a “GT7 PC download”.

Not working?

The README lists stutter in the first 30 seconds of a race while shaders compile, and a few skipped drawing calls on the results screen. Check the newest build on GitHub; the README asks users not to request help on the shadPS4 or Ryty servers.
