Azeroth Survivors has nine classes, the nine of classic WoW. Each one draws its level-up cards from its own spell pool, and every level deals you three of them. The list below comes from the game’s built-in texts (build v0.2.0, 2026-10-16). The class pitches are summarised in our own words. The build ideas further down are our suggestions based on those descriptions and the spell names, not a tested meta. We have not measured damage numbers. For how to start the game, see the Azeroth Survivors overview.

The hero picker also shows each class’s starting spell and health. We did not record those values, so they are not confirmed here.

Races

There are eight races: Human, Orc, Dwarf, Night Elf, Undead, Tauren, Gnome and Troll. Each gives two or three traits. Some fire by themselves (Tauren War Stomp stuns nearby enemies every 15 sec). Others are flat bonuses (Human Diplomacy: +20% gold). The two “cheat death” racials, Night Elf Shadowmeld and Undead Will of the Forsaken, give a few seconds of immunity when you are near death.

Beginner build ideas (our suggestions)

These follow the usual survivors-game logic: survive first, then clear crowds, then kill bosses. They are not taken from the game or from any tested guide.

  • Pick a tough class for your first runs. Warrior, Paladin or Druid. The game describes all three as hard to kill.
  • Take one area spell early. Crowds are what kill you. Whirlwind or Thunder Clap (Warrior), Consecration (Paladin), Arcane Explosion or Blizzard (Mage), Hellfire or Rain of Fire (Warlock), Hurricane (Druid), Volley (Hunter) and Chain Lightning (Shaman) all sound built for crowds.
  • Add one defence or heal. Power Word: Shield and Renew (Priest), Ice Barrier (Mage), Divine Shield (Paladin), Healing Wave (Shaman), Rejuvenation (Druid) or Drain Life (Warlock).
  • Then a boss killer. The game says Rogue crits “delete elites”. For other classes, look at single-target spells such as Execute, Aimed Shot, Pyroblast or Soul Fire.
  • Use rerolls. R rerolls a hand. An account perk adds free rerolls and banishes, so you can skip cards you never want.
  • Spend talent points between runs. Every run earns talent experience for that class. A new row opens every 5 points spent in a tree, and milestones at 10, 20 and 30 points change how your spells behave. Respecs are free, so test freely.

What we could not confirm

  • Exact damage, cooldown and health numbers per class.
  • Which class is strongest. The game has no official tier list, and the fan sites that publish one disagree.
  • The order zones open in for each class, beyond Elwynn Forest being the first zone in the game’s list.

FAQ

How many classes are in Azeroth Survivors?

Nine, going by the game's built-in texts in build v0.2.0 (2026-10-16). Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock and Druid.

What is the best class for beginners?

We have no tested ranking. Going by the game's own descriptions, Warrior (huge health), Paladin (heals himself, sometimes cheats death) and Druid (steady self-healing) forgive mistakes best. Mage and Rogue are described as fragile.

Is there an official tier list?

No. The official site publishes no tier list or build guide. Tier lists on other sites are their authors' opinions, and those sites often disagree on numbers.

Do races matter?

A little. Each of the eight races adds racial traits, such as Orc Blood Fury (a damage burst every 40 sec) or Tauren Endurance (+15% max health). The class decides your spells.
