Martin: No Filter Fighters

Martin: No Filter Fighters is a 2D versus fighter built on Martin, the 1990s Fox sitcom starring Martin Lawrence. The author, Trey2k23, published it on itch.io on 4 October 2026 and has updated it every few days since. Version v13.2 (16 October) is the latest we have seen. People search for it as “martin fighting game”, “martin lawrence fighting game” or simply “martin game”. All of these mean this game.

How to play the Martin fighting game

1. Open the Play link above. It takes you to the author’s itch.io page in a new tab.
2. Press the play button on the page. The game loads in the browser; there is no account or install.
3. Pick a mode: Story Mode, Arcade, Versus, Training, CPU Showcase or Online Versus, where you play a friend with a room code.
4. Pick a fighter and a sidekick, then fight. On a phone, turn it sideways first.

The same page offers downloads for Windows and Linux / Steam Deck if you prefer a desktop build. Use only that page: copies on other game sites are not the author’s.

Controls

As listed on the official page:

• Gamepads work: press any button once so the game detects it. Every key and button can be remapped in Settings.
• Esc / Start pauses (Resume, Restart, Quit to Menu). In the PC build, F11 or Alt+Enter toggles fullscreen.

All fighters and stages

The official page lists 11 fighters:

Martin, Gina, Pam, Cole, Tommy, Sheneneh, Varnell Hill, Dragonfly Jones, Jerome, Bruh-Man and Bob from Marketing.

Bruh-Man arrived in v12.9 (14 October) and Bob from Marketing in v13.2 (16 October). Dragonfly’s assistant Kenji is a sidekick, not a fighter.

There are 9 stages: The Varnell Hill Show, Martin’s Apartment, Club GTD, Sheneneh’s Salon, Nipsey’s, Dragonfly’s Dojo, The Playa’s Ball, The Fifth Flo’ and The Corporate Party.

Can you play it on a phone?

Yes. The author says it plays “on computer, phone or tablet”. Touch buttons appear automatically and hide when you use a controller. Hold the phone sideways. There is no iOS or Android app: anything in an app store claiming to be this game is not from the author.

Was it made with AI?

Partly. The itch.io page’s AI disclosure reads “AI Assisted, Code, Graphics, Sounds, Text”. That is typical of the wave of fan games appearing this autumn, made by one person in days or weeks. More free games you can play in a browser are on our browser list.

Is it official, and will it stay up?

No. The author calls it “a free, non-commercial fan tribute” and says the show and its characters belong to their owners. Fan games built on TV shows can be taken down at any time if the rights holders object. Around 18 October 2026 the game’s itch.io page was removed; the reason is not confirmed. We keep checking the author’s page every day, and this page will show it as working again if it returns.
