Short answer (checked 18 October 2026)
PokéBonk is a free, unofficial 3D Pokémon survivor game in the style of Megabonk, made by Charcher. It is played in the browser at pokebonk.com. Pick Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle, survive hordes of wild Pokémon, evolve, and fire your Ultimate. You can play as a guest. Use only pokebonk.com: sites with similar names are guides or copies.
PokéBonk was announced by Charcher (@ImCharcher on X) on 14 October 2026 and spread within days. Dexerto covered it on 18 October. The site advertises all 151 Kanto Pokémon and is available in nine languages. It runs in any browser with JavaScript and WebGL turned on; there is nothing to download.
How to play PokéBonk
- Open the Play link above. It goes to pokebonk.com in a new tab.
- Choose Play as a guest, or make an account to keep your progress, clan and leaderboard entries.
- Pick a starter (Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle, per Dexerto) and a mode:
- Classic: zones, guardians and a shrine.
- Survival: endless hordes and milestones.
- Move and dodge; your Pokémon attack on their own. Level up, pick upgrades, evolve, and fire your Ultimate when it is charged.
Pokémon you recruit join your League. Accounts can found or join clans, which compete on seasonal leaderboards. There is also a friends list.

Can you play PokéBonk on a phone?
Probably, but we have not confirmed it. The game includes touch controls. The official site doesn’t say how well it runs on phones, and a 3D browser game asks a lot of older devices. If it stutters, try the camera and attack-opacity options in Settings, or play on a computer.

Which PokéBonk site is real?
- pokebonk.com is the official site. Its legal page names Charcher as the person responsible.
- pokebonk.org, pokebonk.app and pokebonk.online are not the author’s. One is a guide site, one hosts its own copy with extra ad scripts, and one frames the official site. We don’t link them.
- A different game called PokeBonk: a separate fan game with the same name, by another developer (Touchzada), appeared on the PokeCommunity forum around the same time. We don’t list it, because its own credits say its 3D models were extracted from the official games. It is not related to Charcher’s PokéBonk.
Was it made with AI?
Partly, by the author’s own account. PokéBonk’s legal page says the scenery, trees, rocks, 3D models, visual effects, interface icons and music were “created for this project” with AI image and audio tools and with Blender. The Pokémon names and designs remain the property of their owners.
Is it official, and will it stay up?
No. The legal page says PokéBonk is a free, non-profit fan project, not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or approved by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures or Game Freak. Pokémon fan games have been taken down before, so this one could disappear at any time. We check pokebonk.com every day; if it goes, this page will say so.
Not working?
- Black screen or “needs JavaScript and WebGL”: turn on JavaScript and hardware acceleration in your browser, then reload.
- Lag: close other tabs, adjust the camera and attack-opacity options in Settings, or try another browser.
- Lost progress: the legal page says an account saves your progress; as a guest, where progress is kept is not stated, so make an account if you want to keep it.
