Skate × Rust (“Skate Rust”) is a browser game that lets you skateboard around the Rust map and switch to a first-person gun mode. It spread on the 2026-10-08 list of browser ports under the address global-terror.net. Checked on 2026-10-17, that address now opens TERRORDOTNET, the site of the Global Terror brand: a merch store, a video portal and a chat terminal. Skate Rust is still there, in the terminal’s Games tab, but the game is locked to paying members. That is why we list it as down for public play and show no play button.

What changed

  • The home page is a store now. global-terror.net runs on Shopify and sells clothing and stickers next to a video series. It forbids being shown inside other sites (X-Frame-Options DENY).
  • The game moved into a launcher. The Games tab opens a separate launcher titled “Skate × Rust — full host”.
  • A sign-in gate was added. The launcher asks you to join and sign in through Shopify. Without a membership, the game’s file list answers “Subscriber access required”.
  • Desktop only in practice. The Games tab skips loading the game on phones, and the launcher calls its mobile preset experimental.

What it is

The launcher describes a private session on Rust with your current loadout and bots, and two modes: skating and a first-person gun mode (toggle with G). The engine’s script files are named after IW4, the engine of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Rust is one of that game’s best-known maps. The site does not say who made the engine, what it is based on, or whether it uses any original game data, so we leave it at that.

Controls listed by the launcher

Action Keys
Push / steer / brake (on board) W / AD / S
Ollie Hold Space, release to flick
Trick stick Arrow keys
Grabs Q / E
Board on/off F
Gun mode G, then mouse to aim and fire, right-click to aim down sights
Sprint / jump / reload (gun mode) Shift / Space / R
Menu / reset to tower M / R

The camera follows behind you; drag to look around, scroll to zoom, C resets it. The launcher itself notes that trick outcomes still need testing.

  • It is an unofficial project, not made or endorsed by Activision or by EA.
  • Paying for access is a choice between you and the store. We do not recommend paying for access to fan versions of commercial games, and we do not link the sign-up.
  • Global Terror’s own content is aimed at adults and uses strong language.

Not working?

  • “Checking access…” or “Subscriber access required”: this is the paywall, not an outage.
  • Nothing happens on a phone: the Games tab does not start the game on phones.
